So, I jumped out of a plane. Honestly, it was bound to happen at some point; with the bucketloads of stress at work and all that. Luckily somebody with a parachute decided to strap themselves to my back, so it looks like I’ll live to fight another day!
Seriously though, I went skydiving!! And it was the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done… EVER. I’m terrified of heights, so this was my way of facing it. Go for broke, right? My friend Brandon and I had tried twice previously, but each time our hopes were dashed because of fickle Washington weather. Really Pacific Northwest? Can I get a sun break for longer than 15 minutes just once? Today, however, we made it to Harvey Field at 2:30 and within and hour and a half we were boarding the plane for our first skydiving experience!
First we had to go through some training and prep, during which we met our awesome instructors Spotty and Sonya. Skydive Snohomish has amazing staff, and these two were no exception. They made a couple of noobs feel very comfortable and excited about the jump… I actually wasn’t that nervous at all (until I got into the plane).
As for the skydiving itself? Well… I’ll let you watch the video to see how it went.
