Just a week ago, I made a purchase that has completely changed my day to day life in Korea. I bought a scooter!! My friend Mike decided to upgrade to a motorcycle, so he gave me a great deal on his scooter (saving my a couple hundred bucks from what I was expecting to pay). It’s well-loved, but it’s served me well and it’s already proving to be a huge money and time saver!
Isn’t she purdy? Still working on a name…
This guy… is HAPPY!
Those hooligans! Doing CARTWHEELS?!
All we really did was walk around the lake, eat melon pops, go gaga over cotton candy (well that was mainly just me), and try to ride the Donald Boats – only to be turned away by a ridiculously long queue. It was absolutely stunning. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, the lake was stirred by a brisk wind, and it seemed the whole of Korea was there in full outdoor attire (literally full… we passed some people who had no visible skin whatsoever). Couples, families, friends… everyone turned out for a piece of the fun!
My friends =)
Dead turtle… so sad, he was right by the water!
All in all, it was an amazing day. I’m so glad to have friends who like to go on adventures with me and who know how to get to places where adventures can be had! I’m glad it’s spring, I’m glad it’s warm, and I’m glad I am becoming reacquainted with my nearly forgotten friend, the Sun. Let’s keep in touch, alright buddy?
Check out these awesome people! Photo stolen from Paula…
