I’m always on the lookout for cool new apps which might help me travel smarter and easier while making the experience more fun and delicious (because food is king). So when some fellow bloggers reached out to let me know about Pepo — a new app which connects people with experts across a variety of interests — I was intrigued. While the app isn’t strictly a travel app, I was most interested in getting advice from bonafide travel experts. After downloading the app and giving it a try, I’ve written a short review so you can see if Pepo will be a good fit for you!
Pepo is easy to set up and has new users choose up to six areas of interest before recommending some channels to follow. The number of options aren’t overwhelming but are diverse enough to provide something of interest for just about anyone. I picked topics including wanderlust, adventure, and budget travel. The channels recommended included some familiar names, such as Hippie in Heels and Travels with Adam, as well as some new ones. I was particularly excited to see a channel dedicated to experiencing the hidden side of Lisbon, as that’s been a dream destination for several years now!
Ease of Use
Filling it out my profile was easy, and it wasn’t long before I’d finished and was able to browse the channels I’d subscribed to. I was quickly impressed with the design of the app. Content is easy to access and scroll through, with a diverse range of reactions and interactions guests can make with the content and the travel expert who produced it. In a world saturated with social media, Pepo is refreshing for its focus and depth, providing a variety of ways for hosts to share valuable information, including live Q&A sessions, videos, photos, and taking guest questions.
